This is my favorite image of El Nino Fidencio where he is doing a penitencia. We materias follow this tradition twice a year, once in October and the other in March.

Materia del Nino Fidencio

I have been a materia for El Nino Fidencio for almost 30 years and I have my "Trono" here in McAllen, TX. The name of my Trono is, El Templo de la Divina Providencia and was given to me by another materia when I first started this path. I come from a long line of materia descendents from the first materias since the physical death of El Nino Fidencio. My lineage starts from Rosita Sanchez who was one of the first materias, she passed the light to materia Trinidad Lozoya who was crowned as a materia during the mid 1940's. Trinidad passed the light to my mother, born in 1935 and crowned as a materia by Trinidad Lozoya in November of 1948. My mother then passed the light to me who at 41 years, out of those, 30 years I have dedicated myself to the cammino del Nino Fidencio. Next year, in the March fiestas in Espinazo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, we hope to celebrate my mothers 60th anniversary and my 30th anniversary along with many materias from all over who will accompany us.
